Burden (2009-2011 [with Eli]) created an epic, crushing blend of doom, death and black metal. More progressive than your typical doom band, their sound was both oppressive and forward thinking. Waves of sonic horror lead to ominous, melodic passages, only to be brutalized once again by intense screams and monstrous guitars riffs. (Burden continued for one more album after Eli left the band.)
