In between band projects, Eli also makes music on his own. This ranges from metal covers to original music that pushes his creative limits. In December of 2018, Eli released his first album of original music under his own name. That album, THE WORLD NOW, is an acoustic/electronic hybrid album that covers a number of genres and takes a very candid and blunt look at the state of the world. An EP of metal covers, a long-form improvisation project, and a new single followed.
Eli plays Dark Horse Percussion drums.
It was all he could do is a 50 minute free-improv recording project consisting of drum set, guitars, bass and keyboard, 99% improvised, in that order. Post-production effects meticulously applied.
Covered in Metal is a collection of cover songs, recorded from 2012-2019. Metal versions of some favorite songs by some favorite artists that made music before Eli was born.
Mr. Litwin is Eli’s solo recording project of heavy metal children’s music. After many months of rocking his infant daughter to sleep while playing children’s music, he started hearing metal versions of the songs in his head. They became more and more detailed as the months went on, until he had no choice but to actually record them, and hear with his ears what was playing in his head at every bed and nap time.
The compositions on Metal MIDIs REMIXED were originally written roughly between 1999-2004. The intent was to create impossibly extreme metal compositions, with no plans to be performed by humans. Presented here are drastically different mixes of those Metal MIDI’s, using all new sounds with Pro Tools plugins.
